Lowell Observatory's Astronomy Discovery Center in Flagstaff is an interactive astronomy attraction, and the observatory runs Orbits Curiosity Camp, week-long STEM day camps for kids in June and July. Programs are split by age group: Elementary School Camp (ages 6-11) and Middle School Camp (ages 12-14), plus year-round monthly Early Learners sessions for ages 3-6. Activities build observation, critical-thinking and astronomy skills.

We did not get a chance to come back in the evening, but admission is good all day so you can come in the afternoon to play then come back for telescope viewing at night. The best part was at the end when they showed the size comparison of the earth to the solar system to the galaxy to the universe. We also went outside and looked through some telescopes and walked around the grounds with the red flashlights.
