ʻImiloa Astronomy Center, part of the University of Hawai‘i at Hilo, runs summer enrichment day programs for keiki, including the three-week Hālau Lamakū program grounded in Hawaiian culture, science, math and art. Activities range from astronomy and outer space to place-based studies of Hawai‘i Island's environment and native species. The center also features a planetarium, exhibit hall and native gardens.
