Arts on the Coast runs the Junior AOC Art Camp, a one-week half-day art camp in Richmond Hill for rising 2nd through 8th graders, held at the John W. Stevens Wetlands Education Center. Campers work through graphite and charcoal drawing, ink technique, watercolor, mixed media and crafts, and sculptural projects. Sessions split by grade: rising 2nd-5th graders meet 9 a.m. to noon and rising 6th-8th graders meet 1 to 4 p.m. Tuition runs about $150 with all supplies and a camp t-shirt included, and space is limited.
