Art Dept Studios offers summer art camps for children roughly ages 6-12 at its Bucks County locations, including this Newtown studio (in the Newtown Depot Shopping Center). Camps use weekly themes and small class sizes, with half- and full-day options: mornings focus on clay sculpting and the pottery wheel, afternoons rotate through a different medium each day, and full-day campers do both.

They did a lovely job with my daughter's birthday painting party. Olivia held the attention of a room full of 7 year olds for 90 minutes.

I signed up for the 1 month, weekly pottery wheel class. It was such a great time. It's a small group, 4-5 people. It's fun, and if you have a stressful life, a good way to unwind and clear your head. I loved pottery back in the day, and needed a new creative outlet. So I decided to sign up. All in all, I made 5 small bowls. I'll be going back to glaze them soon. The studio itself is great, and absolutely feels like an art studio. The instructors are fantastic. They teach, then allow you to create, and are there if you have any questions. My personal opinion, is a great class for adults, older mature teens, it would even make a great date night for couples. It's just an over all great time, and experience. If you are on the fence, I wouldn't hesitate signing up!

Great option to do some crafts and hang out with your friends. My wife and I enjoyed some relaxing crafting with our daughter. We did some glass work that was to be fired and melts together... For a plate, hanging art, and wine bottle stopper. Lots of ceramics to paint and you can even work with raw clay to start from scratch. Lots of other crafts and paints. Definitely recommend.

Erica who is the manager was such a wonderful host during a girls night pottery event. We came by with my kids to paint our finalized pieces and she was just the kindest, sweetest person. My kids didn’t want to leave, used up tons of paint and she even provided them with extra paper and supplies to draw and have more fun. She truly cares about the art studio and hard to believe she’s not the owner. Thank you for brightening up our day, we’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this studio to friends ☀️

What can I say, my kids and I love, love, love coming here! There are so many art projects to choose from. There are canvases to be painted, glass, pottery etc. It is so much fun! And Angela is the best! She makes the art department studio a fun place to bring your kids or come by yourself and just relax and think of something creative to make. We try to go at least once a week because it’s that much fun. Thanks Angela we love you!
