The Art Center of Battle Creek runs a Summer Art Camp where children explore the visual arts hands-on across three days and about 15 hours, working in clay, sculpture, drawing, painting and other media with art educators and working artists. Camps are built around a theme - one edition had campers explore the world of bugs and create their own - and pair art-making with written or oral storytelling. Campers bring a sack lunch while drinks and snacks are provided, and registration is taken by phone or in person at 265 E. Emmett St.
