The Art Association of Henry County runs Mary Morris Summer Art Days in New Castle each June, with age-grouped sessions: Program A for ages 3-5 (10am-1pm), Program B for ages 6-8, and Program C for ages 9 and up (both 9am-2pm, bring a sack lunch). Children work across a variety of art media with member and non-member pricing.

Most recently I got to take part in throwing pottery with my small group from church. One member of our group taught us how to use the pottery wheel, and we all appreciated the art association 's set up and hospitality. The park also features a pavilion for wedding celebrations. As a photographer the park is one of my favorite locations for local portrait sessions and wedding photos!
