Amazing! Loved the camp at Jesuit in Dallas so much, we drove down to Houston for the next two-day clinic! Our 8th-grade rookie learned so much! His discus PR jumped 25'! We were worried if he make the throws team, a competitive cut-sport with a lot of guys in the sixes and 200s. He's more like the movie, Rudy's five-nothin', buck-nothin' description. He not only made the team, but is helping the coach teach the other teammates the chain reaction method. He made the 4th longest throw in school history, 1st longest in 5-years, 1st place in his meet with the 2nd furthest for the district and 5th furthest for the week for the public school league. He really liked how there were instructors with each element line as well as a lead instructor and other throwers, all working together to make rapid improvements. He also learned to full spin on the shot put, not an easy thing to do when most of the kids his age are shuffling or maybe gliding. We also like the quality of the resistance bands. Much better than the surgical tubing from Amazon they use at baseball. We couldn't be more impressed! This has been his favorite camp.

I've been involved since 2011. Can't believe the value I have gotten from the thousands of hours that Coach Johnson puts in. The best training program I have seen for any sport!

The Arete throws camps is awesome. At the camp the athletes really get a good idea of how to effectively hit and execute proper mechanics in the throws but also get a good framework on how to effectively train and reaffirm those mechanics. The camp we attended had a broad range of athletic level/ability, from beginner to advanced collegiate athletes. The athletes get grouped up into 3 levels from beginner/intermediate/advanced during the camp and drill work. The coaches are constantly engaging with the athletes during the camp and giving reviews/assessments. This was a great camp, and I would definitely recommend the camp and the program for throwers of all levels.

This was definetly not a camp for anything but beginners, very, very little interaction with an actual coach to help. Way to many athletes just lined up on a football field working without much guidance. I think someone spoke to my boys two or three times the entire first day. Both of my boys are college level multi eventers and I was hoping this camp would give them some real assistance to help them get to another level in their traning. Unfortunately they were very disapointed in the whole thing.
