The Senior Center has moved to the Antioch community Center. Antioch community Center is very nice and clean with lots of free parking spaces. Come join the Seniors
I go there to play Pickleball they have four courts they provide balls and paddles but you can bring your own it's very clean and spacious and the staff is awesome
The venue is nice however the staff is not. This is a place I would not recommend for anyone to use. You would be better off using a hotel or some other place that shows grace. These people look for ways to stretch the truth. I overheard staff on the phone at 8:10 pm lying to management that he had to get staff to push guests out of the place at 8 PM whereby in fact the family started dismantling at 7:15 to be out by 8. This is a community center that serves the community. The 80th bday celebration was for a lifelong resident of Antioch and truly did not deserve this blatant lie to be communicated to management. There was a $500 deposit on hold. It has an appearance that ways were sought to keep the funds. My disappointment is based on how staff look at patrons as if they are doing them a favor when in fact the patrons paid. And to add insult to injury, set up and clean up time was included in the 4 hour space rental time for the event. This information was not disclosed until a week or two prior to the date. Who does that. So, by this venues policy, you would have maybe one hour and a half for the event. They want the place cleaned and empty by 8PM on the dot. I can say at 8:10 PM all decorations were dismantled, most guests were gone. The only ones still there were those helping to take properties to the car. An extra hour was paid for in order to get the kitchen cleared out by 9 PM. With that being said, did it make sense for this hating staff member to call management at 8 to complain and blatantly lie that he had to push people out? He had to stay there till 9 anyway. When most people were gone, all of the table cloths, chair covers, centerpieces, had been removed by 8:10, shows that the event was over. Where is grace? Just shows some cultures are just difficult people and we just cannot support them. Sad!
