Alta Children's Center runs Alta Summer Camp, a five-day, full-day outdoor adventure for kids ages 6-12 based in Alta, Utah. Campers take part in hands-on, environmentally conscious science and nature activities exploring the ecology of the Cottonwood Canyons. Camp runs 8am-5pm (a 9am-4pm option is available), with meals and transportation from the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon included.

★★★★★Melissa FortinWe sent our children (4.5 & 2.5 yrs) to Alta Children’s Center in March 2026. The teachers at the center are wonderful and engaging. Even with challenging drop off with the littlest, they handled things seamlessly. Most of the days, the kids got out playing in the snow which I loved and they did a great job keeping us updated with pictures. I also LOVE that you can reserve days and then they will true you up at the end - for example, we reserved 5 whole days but on days both kids skied with us for an hour in the morning, we were only charged the mid-day rate. This flexibility made capturing quality family time so much easier! I wish more ski areas had children’s centers like this!

She doesn’t do daycare, just a Mothers Day out with her sister. She did incredible! She was welcomed with the sweetest workers, the director, Miss Ilse is incredible. She’s kind, thoughtful, and gets to know each kid. The center is warm, inviting, clean, and made me want to play! We loved all of the workers that were with our daughter as well. We can’t wait to go again next year! Recommend with no hesitation!

Really was a great experience, and the kids were excited to go every morning. The staff is friendly and nice, the facilities are well maintained and has a lot for the kids to do. After being here for a week, I wish this was the day care my kids went to everyday. They sent texts updates and pictures, and prepared meals for the kids. It really was a great experience, I'd recommend to everyone.

Ms. Ilse was so warm and inviting and explained procedures very thoroughly. All three women I met who ran the center for the day were very kind and clearly aimed to provide a safe and fun experience for the kids in their care. They even sent us text updates with the most beautiful pictures of the activities our son was involved in.
