I fully respect everyone’s right to share their opinion and experience. Social media platforms like Facebook exist to allow people to express themselves freely, and everyone is entitled to their perspective. However, while I respect different opinions, I cannot remain silent when I feel that someone is unfairly attempting to damage the reputation of an academy that has contributed so much to the tennis community. As a current college tennis player and international student who has competed in numerous national and international tournaments, I respectfully disagree with this review. In my experience, the tournaments organized by Abrie Du Plooy Tennis Academy are extremely well run and provide some of the highest-level competition available in Louisiana. It is rare to find local tournaments that attract players with UTRs as high as 12.5, and organizing events of that caliber requires a tremendous amount of effort and dedication. The academy has built an excellent reputation in New Orleans, and the coaches genuinely invest their time and energy into helping every player improve and reach their goals. Additionally, weather conditions are beyond anyone’s control. Rain delays and schedule changes are a normal part of tennis at every level of the sport and should never be viewed as a reflection of the quality or professionalism of the organizers. Personally, I am grateful that there are people willing to dedicate their time, energy, and resources to organizing high-level tournaments and helping grow tennis in Louisiana.

Fantastic tennis program with amazing coaches! My son has been playing tennis at Abrie Du Plooy tennis academy for about two years now and absolutely loves it! The coaches are motivating and provide a fun and competitive environment to train in. He gets a great workout, is continually improving his tennis skills, and looks forward to going to clinic each night. Highly recommend this tennis program and the dedicated coaches who support personal development and promote confidence in their players.
