Summer Fun Center Camps are the general-purpose day camps of Anne Arundel County Recreation and Parks, offered for school-age children at a wide range of sites across the county. Weeks mix typical camp activities such as active games, crafts, sports and theme days, and extended hours and bus transportation are available for an additional charge at participating locations. Registration runs through the county recreation office each spring; camps do not operate on the July 4th holiday.

Powered by GoogleRachel was most helpful and accommodating. She’s very easy-going and quite knowledgeable.
My child has been bullied all year in after care provided by this group. All year long myself my mother and my girlfriend have told them how a certain child has been being bullied. caitlynn baker The “director” of the aftercare keeps saying oh we are working on it. She herself sees it happen and does nothing. And everyday my child comes home saying the child is still throwing objects at her and hitting her with sticks. Then my son also starting getting bullied as well. Then I call and talk to the overall person Lisa Lugo and she’s a joke as well. Instead of addressing the issue of my children getting bullied she suspends my children because caitlynn baker lied and said I extranged words with her while dropping my children off at school.
Why are the surrounding communities so opposed to the proposed Swim Center in the Severn area? It seems like such a huge win for all the neighborhoods in that area--athletic fields, teaching drownproofing to our students, etc. I recently had the opportunity to drive to the Bell Branch Athletic Complex in Gambrills area. Wow, what a beautiful way to spend AA County taxpayers money. A playground for young children, a dog park, every type of outdoor athletic field. If you would like me to write a letter to the editor in favor of the Severn Swim Center, just let me know. What would be far better would be a resident in that area to write his/her letter in favor of the complex moving forward. Dept. of Rec. & Parks, you do an awesome job at keeping our youth busy and active in very positive ways!
The parks are beautiful but they close them at 5:00. As a resident and taxpayer of Anne Arundel County, I would like the opportunity to enjoy these Parks during the week. Many of us work till 4:00 or 4:30 p.m. That being the case, how are we supposed to enjoy the facilities during the week with our families? These Parks should not be closing at 5:00.
Their basketball program is ran by a bunch of idiots that know nothing about the game or its rules. The referees suck so bad that they make up the calls when it isn't the right call to begin with. The table people eat while keeping score and dont even pay attention to the game what so ever. To me they all are "SLOW" and need special attention. Don't waste your money trust me!
