I was so excited for my little one to start soccer, but unfortunately I was very disappointed with the program. There seemed to be very little structure to the classes, and there was a different coach almost every session, which made it difficult for the children to build consistency and rapport. The facility also had no air conditioning, making it quite uncomfortable for both the kids and parents. Overall, the experience did not meet the expectations I had for an introductory soccer program.

We were hoping to introduce our toddler to the sport in a fun environment, and the class description made it seem like it would be just that. The head coach for the 2 year old program must not work with toddlers often. She is aggressive and abrasive to the children. She takes the weekly “adventure” very seriously and will reprimand the TWO YEAR OLDS for getting sidetracked with the soccer balls and other props. The lesson ends with stickers and a stamp, which she will not give the children unless they do EXACTLY what she says and for however long she wants. Example: if she wants them to hold a position for 5 seconds, and they lose their balance after 4 second…no sticker for them! We have watched her single out a child week after week and today she ripped the ball from him and told his adult he had to leave the practice area. Again, they are 2 years old. The “adventures” do not hold their attention and the only skill they have learned in 3 weeks is that the coach is very passionate about rules. Save yourself $140 and early mornings. This is not a fun way to introduce your little ones to soccer!

⚽️ This youth soccer program is absolutely amazing! The coaches are top-notch, the training sessions are super fun and engaging, and the kids learn so much while having a blast. My little soccer star has grown so much in skill and confidence since joining. It's definitely a 5-star program that I highly recommend to any young soccer enthusiast! 🌟

My son began at The Soccer Box of Connecticut only a month ago and I can't express how much this program has changed game thus far. When playing on a team the past five years it was very easy for my son to rely on his teammates to do the work for him on the field which ultimately did not allow him to develop and implement the foot skills he required to play this game. He essentially had just been running on a field the past five years and maybe would kick whenever he came in contact with a ball. We enrolled him in soccer box to build his confidence and develop the foot skills he was missing. This program is designed to give players the touches with a ball that they won't see in game play. It is a genius program as my son has had more engagement with a ball in this program than he had ever before. His confidence has improved so much that I now see him interacting on the field with the ball. It is so great to see him actually actively go to take the ball from other players versus him just running and following the team like had in the past. He already has much more ball control and I can see the skills starting to develop. I can't wait to see what six months of this program will translate to on the field. Don is wonderful with the kids that they enjoy going there. He has a reward program too that as the kids level up and improve they are rewarded which is an additional motivator. I only wish I had found this program earlier!

My son participated in the Soccer Box program for several months. His skill leveled increased tremendously with the help of Coach Don. A defender by nature, I brought him there to develop his confidence with the ball. Each month I noticed his offensive skills grew. Due to Covid, we couldn't attend consistently, but I could only imagine how much more progress he would have made had we been able to. I would highly recommend sending your child here if they want to get to that next level. It worked for my son!!!
