The 6th Ward Community Center hosts the Central Blair Recreation Commission's fall art classes, including Intro to Art and Street Art 101 for ages 8 to 12, Painting 101 for ages 8 to 16 and Street Art 201 for ages 10 to 16. The commission's basketball in the 6th Ward Gym includes Happy Hoops for ages 4 and 5 and the fall Drenning Basketball Camp on Saturdays for grades 3-4 and 5-7. Open basketball leagues there take teams only, in grades 3-4 and 5-6, with girls playing in November and December and boys from January to March.
