The 577 Foundation is a nonprofit community arts and nature center on the former Stranahan estate in Perrysburg, offering youth summer camps and classes. Summer programming includes multi-session Pottery Camp for ages 7-17, a Riverwalk String Workshop for grades 6-12, and weekly outdoor Storytime for young children, taught in small groups across the pottery studio, cottage and gardens. Programs emphasize arts, nature, gardening and hands-on skill-building.

★★★★★Nonyo BiznessI think most Perrysburgers know about the 577 Foundation, but may not know that it’s free or about the programs, activities, storybook walk, intimate concerts, fossil pit, log cabin, bee hives, and much more. It is a private organization so has limited hours: the building and grounds are open 09:00- 17:00 Mon-Sat, closed Sundays. It’s also part of the Perrysburg Scavenger Hunt that runs through most of summer 2026. Go enjoy the free, quiet, scenic, shaded, lovely grounds! It’s kind of a smaller version of the Toledo Botanical Gardens from back before Toledo Metroparks took over, and they seem to try harder than they do over at Crosby Gardens (the previous name of Toledo Botanical Garden). This is intended to boost 577, not to take away from TBG, but the long-running Crosby Art Show has left TBG, so things continue to change over there, and how often is change beneficial for the public? 577 Foundation seems to still be well loved and cared for, and remains welcoming to people and leashed dogs.

They had this cool dome greenhouse(I forgot what you call it), - but it was built to mimic the ecosystem of a tropical climate, it had some cool carnivorous plants, a pond with Koi fish, succulents and more - it was so cool and beautiful!

They have a gift shop featuring crafts from local artists. The shop also has gently used books and other items. Donated items are clean and so affordable. If you are considering starting a craft check here for the tools you may need to get started.

Great play area that is tastefully done without disturbing the atmosphere and nature. It lets kids explore nature while having a good time. They also have nice simple trails and a library!
