Five Mile Camp is a nonprofit overnight camp on 2,200 acres in the northeast corner of Oklahoma near Quapaw, serving middle-school-age boys and girls from schools across Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, and Missouri. Weeklong sessions build confidence and teamwork through horseback riding, a ropes course, ziplining, woodworking, fishing, science, and swimming.

When I spoke with the staff, they were nothing but polite and easy to talk to. They provide the kids with various activities such as wood crafting, hiking, swimming, horseback riding, archery, zip line, and more. The youngest I know of has been first graders. However, they didn't do the zipline.
