YWCA Central Maine offers swim lessons for all ages in five sessions from September 2026 to June 2027, taught in its regulation-size, fully accessible public pool in the Lewiston-Auburn area. Its fall classes include Parent and Child for ages 0 to 4, Preschool levels for ages 3 to 5, and Levels 1 to 5 across ages 5 to 14. The YWCA offers swim lesson scholarships, Adapted Aquatics for people with disabilities or other physical, developmental or sensory needs, Red Cross babysitter training for ages 11 to 16, and lifeguard certification classes. Founded in 1878, it also runs Early Learning, Out-of-School Care and Summer Camp programs.
