I have recently joined with my son and we absolutely love it. Everyone is so friendly, the equipment works well, the sauna/steam room and pool are awesome. We have been utilizing the childcare and all the fun classes for kids. It’s exceptionally clean..it’s a true community center. So happy we joined.

Was a great gym at first till they started renting out the gym to outside programs everyday day of the work week, seems like they care about money more then their everyday members. Was told I’ll have to rent the court at $150/hr just to play basketball.

Overall, it’s a good gym, but it closes very frequently. Between American holidays and Jewish holidays, it’s often either closed entirely or operating on reduced hours—most commonly 12–5. It also closes a lot for “inclement weather” when PA Fitness, just two blocks away, remains open. This is frustrating given that the membership costs over $80 a month; every day the gym is closed effectively increases the cost per day of my membership.

⭐⭐ 2 stars The York JCC facilities are consistently clean and the programs (especially for kids) are genuinely excellent; that’s why I stayed a member Unfortunately, the membership/billing department completely soured my experience. I’ve never once missed or been late on a payment, yet when a single payment failed because I’d received a new credit card (a completely normal life event), they slapped me with a $15 returned-payment fee and flatly refused to waive it as a one-time courtesy. For $15 they chose to lose a, reliable member who honestly, barely even used the facility. It’s disappointing to see a community organization prioritize rigid policy over basic goodwill. I won’t be renewing and will be taking my membership elsewhere.
