Nice environment, wonderful people. Plenty of exercise options to choose from. Good opportunity to be part of the YMCA community.

Today I went in and asked to pay my bill. The lady behind the desk was clearly distracted by what time it was. And said I needed to pay my bill, I said yes I just asked if I could. She made a comment that since two people just came back they can take my payment. Time for me to go. She clocked out and walked to the other side of the desk and spoke to another coworker for 5 minutes or so. Couldn't finish the task at hand, talking to her coworker was more important.

I went with my young family and friends today April 19 of 2025 and was super excited and optimistic about having a very fun time at an indoor pool with my young son and very quickly realized that we could have mold exposure from being in the pool room. it just looked like mold was growing wall-to-wall, ceiling and going down the walls. And I stepped on chipped paint from the walls and tried three different showers in the women’s locker room. All had ice cold water while the dial was turned hot very disappointed I spent $22 for the three of us. I’m not impressed and will be calling to see if we can get a refund because that is not up to safety guidelines at all. So I highly recommend that if you have a young family a toddler a baby don’t go. I just recommend don’t go in general because it was disgusting.

Never fails to amaze me. Susan told me on the the phone they're setting up the nets for pickleball. Now I'm all for the 1/2 and 1/2 when they don't show up when it's nice outside as they usually don't. Don't lie about to keep the keep the kids out the other side of the gym. You have nothing to gain from it.

I had a great experience here. I belong to a YMCA in another city and was happy to find out that the Topeka Y would honor my membership while visiting town. Nathan at the desk was super-helpful and friendly, both when I phoned and when I visited. There were plenty of options for machines and equipment and I had a great workout. The facility was clean and well kept. I look forward to visiting again.
