YMCA of Greater Kalamazoo
Private
The YMCA of Greater Kalamazoo runs full-day summer day camps built around swimming, games, crafts and outdoor activities, with a 30-minute swim lesson each week. Camp runs Monday through Friday with drop-off from 7:00 a.m. and pick-up by 6:00 p.m., at three sites: the Maple YMCA, the Northside Early Learning Center and the Portage Community Education Center. Groups are set by age — Summer Sprouts for the youngest campers, Kinder Camp for children entering kindergarten, Maple Explorers for grades 1-4, and Woollam Explorers, an outdoor day camp for ages 8-10. Financial assistance is available for families experiencing hardship.

Powered by GoogleThey're super stingy and penny pinch on AC. The gym is the hottest room in the building in the summer. Abnoxious teenagers running around the halls, screaming, and abusing gym equipment they're not even allowed to be using. Staff won't kick them out unless you complain. Employees walk right on by. Don't bother. The Portage branch is worth the drive over going here.
This is one of the few left that accept Silver Sneakers from Medicare. What a great benefit for free for seniors.
Newcomer to the gym experience and so far I am enjoying each visit more and more!
Use it 3 times a week and very kid friendly. Make sure to bring a lock for your locker in changing area
The wet and dry sauna is an additional $20/ month The classes are spectacular. The facility is clean, cool and tidy. The machines are up to date and work well The pool is big. There is a really nice court system and upstairs is the courts. The kids area is in the front and segregated from the rest of the building, security is high for it so I feel comfortable having the tiny humans in it.
