YMCA Camp Leif Ericson is the Sioux Falls YMCA's outdoor day camp, with programs grouped by age from 4 to 15, including Little Vikes (4-5), the core Leif Ericson camp (6-9), and older camps such as Tepeetonka, Ranch, and Tailfeather. ★★Sonja TheisenThis is a fun camp but overall it’s really cringe no matter what you do if they say go to this activity you’re gonna wait for like 20 minutes before you even do anything there’s something called the flying squirrel and if you’re a guy, you know that it hurts your thing so badly. In general camp fun, but there are weird and annoying parts to it, and there are good chunks of it where they lie to all the kids throughout the entire thing

They have learned so much and gained a lot of experiences as well as made friendships not only with peers but with all the staff there and they have more confidence in themselves! We will definitely be signing them back up again next year for camp! I still remember the time I made it up the rock wall, or when my team won the "Feats Of Strength In Wisdom", or even the first time I rode a horse. For those 8 years, this was the highlight of my summer. I loved it so much I eventually returned to work as a camp counselor for two years and facilitated the next generation to experience the same things I did.

They also go on day trips for other activities around Sioux Falls. The camp provides a busing route to get all the campers there each morning and home in the afternoon. Lunch and snacks included. The best part has to be the camp staff. They do an amazing job. Each person is friendly and enthusiastic about making camp the highlight of every camper's summer. Probably the best 2 weeks of the summer for our guy. I know he is already excited about next summer.
