I went for a Becoming an Outdoors Woman event. Beautiful grounds, staff (young people doing service work). NC Wildlife Officers and Volunteers were awesome, informative and patient. Having young people on grounds for a church retreat was an added bonus! Safe, peaceful, spirit filled environment!

I went to this camp during my prime childhood years, The 3 years i went was the best times of my life, they teach you so much from god to friendship and self care, they never let you feel left out and never fail to put a smile on your face. All the activities were top tier and amazing. The employees and camp counselors were so so nice and amazing, having somthing to do during the summer was truly amazing and i was so glad i got to experience there camp , i really wish i could go back just one more time to make more memories and friends 💕.

My 8-year-old son has mentioned wanting to go camping. He had never been camping so I was unsure how he would do. I took him on a family camp weekend. He went from wanting to come home on Friday evening to not wanting to leave on Sunday. The food satisfied my most picky eater. He's not usually the adventurous type as he has anxiety. He ended up surprising me on things he wanted to try-archery, paddle boarding and shooting BB gun rifle. He swam in the like which also surprised me. He also went fishing and was so proud of his small catch and release. He loved making s'mores at our fire pit in front of our cabin. And he really enjoyed movie night. Sometimes, it takes my son awhile to warm up to folks but he easily clicked with Riley and young man teaching archery (sorry his name escapes me) In fact, he loved everything except having to go home. The camp was well organized and it was run so well.

Learned about the living creatures in a healthy stream, went canoeing, shoot arrows, the food was decent and we barely touched the surface of what they had. I was impressed with our visit.
