I’ve been using the rec for three years now and love it! Great facility, my only complaint is a really unpleasant experience I had yesterday. I had ACL surgery four months ago, and part of my physical therapy routine is using the sled downstairs (which I’m super grateful that they have the facilities for me to do that!). unfortunately, a lot of people leave the sled loaded up with heavy weights that I physically cannot lift because of my injury. I have to ask a staff member to assist me in unracking these weights most days. Most of them have been super friendly and accommodating. However, when I asked yesterday, the young man on staff was very rude to me throughout our entire encounter and didn’t even bother to take the weights off of the turf. I’m not one to complain often, but I would never want someone else who’s recovering from a serious injury to face the same treatment. It’s overwhelming enough to ask for help, and to be treated rudely for something out of your control is unfair. Again, I appreciate the rec and its staff, I just don’t appreciate the negative way I was treated for asking for help yesterday.
We were here for an AAU Volleyball Tournament, it could easily handed the crowd that comes with that size event. Everything positive about this place. One thing I will mention there are no bleachers. For 95% of the people visiting that is not a problem. Bring your own chair, if, like me, you plan on watching. Thank you WVU for allowing the hosting club, the AAU, and me for the use of this facility for a volleyball event. Very nice.
Excellent facility. The rate now for non student is $15 and you have access to top of the line gym, pool, and indoor track. There also a rock wall and racket ball courts. Sometimes it can vibe very crowded with students and can be hard to find staff.
Besf facility ! Best condition to work out! O love swimming and squash!! They have good place to exercise and very clean! Opening time and closing time is very nice for exercise. Climbing, running, and health programs are amazing. I usually go for Body Pump class, and it is awesome!! I love to shower in rec center! They have a good quality atmosphere!! Also I can park after 4pm during week day! So I can park there!! Also weekend parking is free charge!! I love that!! Thank you so much!!!
