Workshop SLC
Private
Workshop SLC is a South Salt Lake creative and maker studio offering art, painting, ceramics, and technology workshops, with additional Cottonwood Heights and Salt Lake City locations. Class listings appear geared to adults rather than a children's summer camp, but a dedicated kids' program was not confirmed.

Powered by GoogleIn hopes to get some hands-on experience working with Clay on a pottery wheel, I found this wonderful establishment by chance. The environment was so welcoming and the staff is so educated and experienced. I truly felt this studio helped re-spark my love for pottery again. Even though I showed up independently, this class worked really well for those wanting to come in pairs or with their significant others. I simply did not want to leave.
Took a beginner pottery class here and it was a lot of fun but almost a third of the class did not end up with anything. I think the class sizes are big and the instruction could be better. For the price of the class, I would expect enough one-on-one attention to help everyone go home with a piece of their own making.
Really standout experience for daddy daughter date night. We did pottery and despite having zero experience came out with a great piece and feeling grounded / inspired. Well instructed, just the right size and great facility. We want to do more here!
I am so happy that I found Workshop SLC. Since moving here for grad school last summer, I’ve been missing the art community back home really badly. On a whim I signed up for a four week ceramics class at Workshop taught by Morgan and it was probably the best decision that I had made in a while. The class was so much fun and Morgan is such a great instructor that I decided to sign up for a membership at the studio. I’ve been here for about a month and I love it. The studio is well organized, well equipped, and most of all the people here are great! The community in the studio is so friendly, so welcoming, and so collaborative —everyone always seems willing to chat about your/their art and offer their techniques which is super cool in an activity where so many people are very gatekeepy. Shout out to Morgan, Zae, Kaori, all the other instructors and members, and (probably most importantly) the owner- Lucia for making this space so awesome!!
Signed up for watercolor last fall and I’m hooked! Kaori is an amazingly talented instructor! She is very knowledgeable, and patient. I haven’t had much experience and yet I feel like I was able to follow her instructions and learned so much! Other classes look like fun as well. Workshop SLC has a fun atmosphere, great space and broad range of classes.
