Word of Life Island
Private
Word of Life Island is a Christian overnight youth camp on a 50-acre island in Schroon Lake in the Adirondacks, part of Word of Life Fellowship (founded by Jack Wyrtzen, camp opened 1947). Each summer it hosts thousands of high-school students for weeklong sessions combining Bible study and worship with sports and lake recreation; campers stay in bunk-style cabins and follow a code of conduct.

Powered by GoogleLegit changed me and many other teenagers lives, now all in for Jesus. The Island is a place you feel safe and isolated at peace at. 10/10 send your kids here N O W lol.
This is a very nice dock. Boats run every thirty minutes during the summer. Starting at 6:15 am, then 6:45am, after that 7:15am and it keeps going like that until 11pm on regular schedule. Very nice dock. You can check in and go in the island 🏝️ and enjoy the beautiful views and a nice and good grill with other families.
There were lots of young people being picked up by their parents, so the parking was tight. But the young people put in charge of making sure everything went smoothly did a great job. My son totally enjoyed his weeks stay. And is considering going back next year. Word of Life Island is a safe and enjoyable place for your young person to hear about God and safely enjoy a vacation away from Mom and Dad. My son said the food was very good and there's plenty of it and there's always something to do. He likes the worship time in the evening, and getting to meet new people.
This place is nice, on Fridays they have a rodeo, and it's free. You won't get professional facepainting, but u will get real nice kids who are polite and patient with the little ones. They do their best. They often have a bouncy, or rock climbing wall, a pretty decent size park with a tire swing. The kids and me get the fountain sodas for 2 bucks, they are free to refill. Burgers are great here, they cook them outside on a grill. Prices for food and beverage is really reasonable. The gift shop is a little overpriced, but it's the same everywhere around here.
The dock is great, Terry is very professional and took good care of us. We had a great time skiing on the water and he did everything he could to help us have a good time and learn what we needed to. I will definitely be back again next year when we are at the lodge to enjoy this activity again. It is very much worth the price.
