Woodruff Scout Camp is the Atlanta Area Council's Scouts BSA overnight summer camp in the north Georgia mountains at Blairsville, running seven-day Sunday-to-Saturday sessions across roughly seven weeks in June and July. Mornings are spent on merit badge work — over 70 badges offered — at the waterfront, nature center, STEM center, Outdoor & Life Skills area, Mack Mountain Studios or the shooting sports ranges; afternoons bring climbing and rappelling, whitewater rafting, mountain biking, Ga-Ga ball and aquatics, with campfires, movie nights and Vespers at night. Scouts normally attend with their troop, and a first-year-camper program supports Scouts with no camping experience; a provisional option lets individual Scouts register without their unit. Weeks sell out well ahead, with registration opening about a year in advance.

One thing! If you don't like walking up a hill, sorry, it has a tall hill to walk up. But moving on, I was happy with my time at the 25 summer camp and the opening and closing fire was amazing.
