Wilmington Hammerheads Youth FC runs half-day summer soccer camps for players roughly ages 6-12 (U7-U12), focused on skill development, tactics and small-sided games led by the club's coaching staff. Sessions run about three hours each morning (9am-noon) for a week at a time and are open to the public by registration. Held at the club's Wilmington soccer facility and run by a local nonprofit youth soccer organization.

★Life's a beachWaste of time and money. They care more about expansion and money than the players. Their ECNL teams are very weak due to the lack of technical and tactical training. It's easy to see why their girls ECNL teams are consistently at the bottom of their leagues.
★Greg PearsallI’m not sure what they are teaching but it isn’t soccer. I watched a U-13 ECNL girls team spend 70 minutes just trying to injure the other team. Cheap hits, punching other player from behind and repeatedly kicking a defenseless goalie after a save. This organization is a disgrace to soccer.
★Michael RobersonNot sure how other hammerhead teams are at the higher levels but would not recommend this FC if invited to the development team. There is zero development of the kids with on coach and 3/4 way through the season they don’t know fundamentals like never pass through the middle in front of goal on defense. Save your money play rec.
★Joseph BarsantiMy review is from the perspective of another club that plays against the hammerheads. My children have been playing club soccer in the Charlotte area for the last five years. We play against this club in tournaments. What we have witnessed is a club that plays their teams a level (or two) down - so that they win tournaments. And the way the parents act on the sidelines is atrocious. Ringing cowbells, dancing and laughing at the players on other team that can’t keep up. If your goal is to win at all costs and teach your children to be bullies.....this is probably the right club for you. If your goal is to teach your kids sportsmanship and all of the great lessons that come with youth sports.....might want to look somewhere else.
★★★★★Kerry Hodel*Rating this club as a visitor* We came from out of town for a tournament (2019 Seaside Classic) and we’re VERY pleased with the running of the entire event. The commissioner & staff also got involved when we had a small issue that required ‘negotiations/upper management intervention’ and they handled everything with grace and true class. If we lived here, I would certainly want my kid to participate with a club that’s this involved and on-top-of-it!! Players from their teams also seemed to have great spirit & good sportsmanship while being great competition too! All the marks of a great soccer organization!!
