Wild Whatcom
Private
Wild Whatcom is a Bellingham nonprofit that connects kids to nature through mentor-led outdoor programs. Its summer camps range from four-day half-day camps for ages 3-5 (birds, mammals, beach life) to five-day camps for grades 1-8 teaching wilderness skills such as carving, fire-making, navigation and tracking, with older groups doing bushcraft, backpacking and service projects. Nature-immersion and community-building are the core focus.

Powered by GoogleI've loved joining Wild Whatcom for adventures at Boulevard park! The kiddos had a blast each time. The program we enjoyed included tidepooling, pollinating flowers, and story & snack time. Staff is super sweet and knowledgable.
They led a field trip for our Geneva Elementary first graders to Larrabee Park and they couldn't have been more wonderful! Adam and Drew, the two that were assigned to our class, were extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and enthusiastic. They were both so patient with the kids and made sure to take the time to answer every single question in a way that everyone could understand. They were amazing at keeping the kids engaged the entire time and really made the experience a memorable one. Thank you so much for all you do!
My son just started preschool here, and he is beyond excited to go to class each day. We love Wild Whatcom! :)
