Once upon a time, Youth Camp used to mean a place where parents sent their poorly-behaving teens in hopes of a "Come to Jesus" moment as a means to get them to become "better behaved." While that may still be true in some cases, that is not the point, whatsoever, with Whisper Mountain. Whisper Mountain has been around for 20 years as of 2026 and the staff is focused on returning the youth to follow Jesus not as a way to get them to "behave" but as a way to get them to become closer with God and walk in Jesus' footsteps. Their staff is top-notch and the ministers who speak each night know their Bible. The camp has multiple activities, each meant to promote either teamwork, fellowship, or unity in Christ - they turn every activity into a teaching moment. So, while fun (and exhausting for out of shape youth pastors), they are still purposeful. The whole week culminates into a mountaintop experience like I've never had at any other camp I've gone to. From a beautiful star-lit view to deeply touching words of faith and healing by the camp pastor Shaun, those who are there can't argue that God's presence is there. I have been a youth pastor for just over two years, now. And my mountaintop experience last week was the first time I felt anointed by Him to be our church's youth pastor. All because of how the staff showed His Love throughout the week and Shaun's message that cool Thursday evening. Until I am unable or my role changes, I intend on bringing my youth here every summer. Not only was it an experience for me, but the three guys I brought can't quit talking about it. In fact, they all have drawn closer to Him, as well.

Whisper Mountain Camp is an amazing experience both for Youth and Adult camps throughout the year. We have taken Youth to this camp and it was truly a life changing experience. “Escape the Noise. Encounter the Whisper.” is much more than just a slogan. You experience that from the moment you enter the gates. The full-time staff and summer staff are INCREDIBLE, not just during the time with campers but continuing to engage throughout the year. Cannot recommend this camp enough!!

Whisper Mountain is such a beautiful camp! The serenity you find when you enter the camp set in the North Carolina Mountains is the perfect place to escape the noise and encounter the whisper of God. The staff is absolutely amazing, the food is not like any other, and they pour into each and everyone that is present. If you are looking for the perfect church camp that’s all about Jesus Christ I Highly recommend!

What an incredible experience. First & foremost one of the best if not the best campground I’ve been on. The facilities are great, the location is amazing, the people are friendly and the food is actually really good! I’ve ran multiple camps and till this day my students always refer to whisper mountain as their favorite

Whisper Mountain is a place where everything stands still and you can finally breathe. There is no place like it. The Holy Spirit is present- all the staff are beautiful people that love the Lord, the food is absolutely incredible (who knew camp food was good?!), the cabins are immaculate & cozy, and the view is spectacular. There’s absolutely no place I’d rather be in the fall especially. We have taken youth groups and adult trips alike, and always leave closer in community and stronger in our faith.
