Powered by GoogleI would give this camp zero stars if it were an option. I enrolled my daughter in a four-week summer program but had to withdraw her after just two days due to severe safety concerns, medical neglect, and administrative incompetence. On the first day, I had to leave work because another child initiated a physical altercation with my daughter. Management showed me the camera footage, which clearly confirmed a boy hit her first. However, no action or disciplinary measures were taken against him. On the second day, the exact same child attacked her again. When I asked to view the footage to verify the incident, staff claimed the cameras were suddenly "not working." Even more alarming was the staff's handling of medical safety. My daughter has documented food allergies. When I asked staff if they had reviewed her paperwork, they admitted they were completely unaware of her allergies. To top it off, trying to get a refund has been an exercise in administrative runarounds. The manager told me to call the front desk, and the front desk told me I had to come down to the building to speak to the manager. This facility is unsafe, disorganized, and demonstrates a completely unacceptable lack of accountability. Save your money and keep your children safe elsewhere.
I've been coming here for years and it seems that it has been updated quite a bit and the staff are friendly. The people are friendly aswell . It is an old building but it gets used and its getting maintained. Hope to see th e schedule go back to the original. And open Sunday. Thank you guys!!!
Place is alright, not that bad though. But I only things I could complaint about, The locker room you enter to go inside the pool, smells really horrible, it has a really foul odor. Customer service is also a little questionable, A friend of mine signed their son to get swimming classes here as a teen but they had to wait for a whole month to get the classes as the instructor was never contacted, So I recommend paying after you get contacted with the instructor, Also the steam room is quite disgusting with people spitting in the steam room.
As someone who grew up with a great “Y” experience I had high hopes that my kids would as well. I was wrong as my child had the WORST time at this camp. The counselors have zero etiquette when it comes to interactions with parents, not even a reply when you greet them or say goodbye. They may even steal from the kids (I can’t prove it, but they didn’t follow protocol according to Jennifer, the actual person in charge) as my child had a $20 dollar bill taken off a table when he had his back to it. There is zero educational stimulation when it comes to this camp. Joy, who is the person in charge at the Westside facility gives the impression that she will do the right thing but doesn’t actually do anything to make sure campers are protected and she definitely does NOT report incidents to her supervisor. Overall, counselors that sit around on their phones instead of interacting with the kids leads to an unsafe free-for-all (my son was put in a chokehold, he was continuously bullied by staff family members) will conitunue to put kids at risk. I hate to lump all of the people there together as I’m sure there are some decent people that care about their jobs AND the children but this place is really bad and I am embarrassed that I ever brought it up as a recommendation to anyone. We cancelled our family membership and will never go into that place again.
All of the members I been talking to including myself are mad because of the schedule until 8 pm and closed on sundays! We need to go back to normal schedule! Racquetball courts need to have good maintenance! There is one court that was in fair conditions but because of poor management, now its a storage room!
