Is this a real Y? It is not. It does not accept any memberships. Does it have equipment for a gym? Yes! Does anyone use it? Nope! But they let me in to use it and was nice! lol

This is the first YMCA I’ve encountered that doesn’t accept nationwide YMCA memberships (including other independently-owned facilities I’ve visited across the country). There are other Savannah-area locations which do accept nationwide memberships. Weight room is run-down and the equipment is old, rusty (which got on my clothes and doesn’t wash out easily) and some of it is broken. Room itself was dark, felt like a prison gym. Need a key from the front desk access locker rooms. Overall an unsatisfying and even creepy experience.

I was told they are not a regular YMCA. They do not accept other YMCA memberships. If they don't accept other YMCAs then they need to change their name. Staff was very polite though.

My son attends summer camp at this location and seems to enjoy it there very much. They have lots of engaging activities for the youth in every age group, including swimming lessons for the older children. The morning staffers are older, friendly and courteous. The afternoon crew are younger and unprofessional.

My daughter has been going here for Summer Camp, she comes home excited to tell me about her day. I can tell they care a lot about the kids! Very nice ladies working there and also a nice maintenance/janitor guy. Always welcoming. Thanks YMCA
