Vickrey Community Center
Private
The Vickrey Resource Center is a City of Pensacola Parks and Recreation facility on Summit Boulevard offering recreation programs. For 2026, the City's summer day camps are being held at the Cobb, Gull Point, and Woodland Heights centers, so a summer camp at this specific location is not currently listed. The center itself remains an active city recreation resource.

Powered by GoogleLet’s talk about hostile worker Pamela who does the reception of the child care. Yells at kids and adults. Walks up to them in an aggressive manner and gets in there face and tells them she ain’t afraid of them . Challenges them to verbal altercations . Extremely unprofessional and behavior that doesn’t and shouldn’t be displayed around kids ! First and last year ever participating in volleyball . I won’t support an establishment that tolerates this behavior. I will also make sure everyone I know avoids this place. Which will be a lot because I work in the school district !
Today is my first day playing pickleball with this awesome group. I enjoyed my and learned a lot from playing doubles. Patience is the key to success on this game
It's a very nice facility and Jakarta at the front desk is so helpful. My family and I practice karate weekly in one of the rooms. We have also participated in sports at their gym. It's very clean.
Just enjoying playing pickle ball, Monday, Wednesday and Friday from eight to noon. Open play, everyone is fairly friendly.
My stepdaughter absolutely loves the after-school program at Vickrey Community Center! From the very beginning, I was impressed with their smooth intake and pick-up procedures, which make drop-offs and pickups stress-free. The facility is secure, giving me peace of mind knowing she’s in a safe environment. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they truly care about the kids. A special shout-out to Cameron—his positive attitude and dedication make the place even better! The program is well worth the money, and I highly recommend it to any parents looking for a safe and engaging after-school option.
