The Van Buskirk Community Center is a City of Stockton recreation center (734 Houston Ave.) adjacent to Van Buskirk Park that runs Color Our World Summer Discovery Camps, an eight-week themed day camp for ages 5-12 from early June through late July, 7:30am-5:30pm (about $84/week, limited financial aid). Recreation leaders keep small groups for sports, games, crafts and social time. It is a municipal, low-cost, full-day program.

★★★Megan McAllisterMy little one loved running the walkways but I was disappointed in the lack of upkeep of the play structure and the flooring. It seems they have removed all the slides and resorted to plywood and chains to block things off. I wouldn’t call this ADA accessible anymore with the woodchips filling in the missing sections of floor. Plenty of parking and lots going on at this park, would love to see it fixed up!
