Valley Performing Arts runs a Summer Theatre Arts Program in Wasilla with two-week workshops: a morning session for ages 7-11 and an afternoon session for ages 12-17. Students learn theater fundamentals from auditions through performance and stage a short play for family and friends on the final evening. Community performing-arts nonprofit.

It's not a large venue, so regardless of where you're seated, you're close to the action. They also have dinner theater performances, I haven't been to any of these yet, but I definitely intend to. Plays usually run for a couple weeks at a time, with Friday & Saturday evening shows & a Sunday matinee. If you live in the valley, I highly recommend checking it out!
