Utah Jam Bands ran week-long rock band day camps in the Woods Cross / Davis County area, where students ages 12-19 rehearsed in four different bands to prepare songs for a live rock show. Daily rehearsals ran 10am-3pm across five days. The organization has since rebranded as Applied Music Programs (AMP).

My son has been a part of Utah Jam Bands over the past year and has loved his experience. Richard Gailey and his crew of talented musicians/teachers understand kids and how to help them play their best. Jam sessions are well organized, but fun. There is always a concert to show off their hard work at either an indoor stage or outdoor amphitheater. This has motivated my son to practice, and improve. It has been a great experience for him to perform really cool songs. This is what my son said about it: "The experience of performing is really cool. They make it an actual rock concert with lights and everything. You learn a lot more than just how to play. You learn stage presence, how to interact with the crowd, and how to work hard. It could help you in your carrier as a performer and to see if it is something you want to keep doing. Learning how to interact and play with other band members is also very important."
