I remember coming to camp when I was a kid the most beautiful place our dad would bring us up there. We all had a wonderful time together. But the thing that I remember is the hobo breakfast on the railroad tracks.So I showed my grandkids how to make the coffee can burner

Leaving this review to make parents aware that the overnight camps are completely no-contact. The paperwork was misleading, suggesting campers could get permission to call home, but in reality no phone calls were permitted at all — even for kids struggling with anxiety or homesickness. At a minimum, the camp should be upfront and crystal clear about this policy so parents can make an informed choice. If your child is prone to homesickness and would benefit from a brief call home, this is not the camp for them. Parents also cannot initiate contact. I disagree with their outdated “no communication” stance and encourage them to review current research, which shows limited phone contact can actually help campers adjust better. My feedback comes not only from personal experience but also from years of involvement in student camps.

We are having the loveliest time! My mom and I attended the Design in Pines craft retreat this weekend, and we didn't know quite what to expect as first timers. We were welcomed warmly and in such a sincere way that we felt like we had new friends immediately! We had a weekend packed with new crafting experiences to participate in (and things to bring home! 😍), as well as lots of free time to do our own activity or even read and book and recharge if we were so inclined. We had patient and very encouraging teachers and they were as happy for us as we were when we completed a project! The director is warm, and kind, and helpful, and an absolute joy to be around for the weekend. And the food....oh, the food! It was gorgeously presented and the flavors rivalled top restaurants. My son is coming to teen camp next week and I'm thrilled knowing what an incredible times he's also going to have. A million and a half stars!

Incredible place, incredible staff, and one of the best ways to meet God. I've only been going for 3 years but I look forward to going all year long. It's also one of the best places to make some of the longest lasting friendships you'll ever have. I'd recommend Upper Peninsula Bible Camp to anyone and everyone looking for God, friends, or just looking for a place to have a lot of fun!
