Powered by GoogleDr. Lesniak provided me with a thorough evaluation and had xrays taken while there. He was direct but caring. Provided me with a diagnosis and had assistant schedule me with ortho surgeon. Appointment was in 2 days. Care was excellent with minimal wait time.
Went to Lemieux for about 3 months after a car accident with a concussion and arm/neck injury. To say my experience here was awful is an understatement, however let’s start with the good. My cognitive therapist for my concussion seemed to know what she was doing and her therapy actually lessened the effects of my concussion. Now with the bad, my Physical therapist assigned to me was extremely unprofessional. Every time I would go in for my appointment I would mention my arm and neck pain, and she would consistently dismiss my concerns, and not even looking at the effected area during my 3 month session. During session as well, the physical therapist seemed to have rather socialized with her coworkers and other clients, rather than doing her work. While there I was also seeing a doctor who would occasionally check in. Once again the guy did one test on the arm then never checked again and would be dismissive every time I brought it up. Towards the end of my time and due to how long the arm/neck injury, I requested and MRI which was refused. Finally let’s get into their record keeping, to put it blatantly it was incompetent. The amount of times I would have to continually remind them that my appointments would need to be billed on my insurance claim and have to consistently clarify the same information over and over again was absurd. There were times when the ladies at the front desk would give me attitude just for clarifying information either about the claim or my releases for my other doctors, and it just made the experience so much worse. TLDR: If your going for a Concussion/more minor injury you should be good. However just be careful with the physical therapist and doctors, and make sure your more assertive than I was or they will just walk all over you and dismiss your issues 1/5 stars.
My SO broke his shoulder and we had no idea what to do. Had no idea orthopedic urgent cares were a thing but we are so glad we found this place. Got referred by a very sweet and amazing woman at another place. The facility is amazing!! It's huge and everyone was so pleasant and helpful. Got him xrayed and got a $10 sling. Never been to a place that opens at 5pm to 9pm. Got there early and signed the paper. Got seen fast and very happy with everyone who helped us. The clinic has different functions; you can get mri's, also is for children who are sick and adult injuries. All have different sign ins and receptionists. Large waiting room. It's huge, very updated and great technology. It's a little over an hour from our house but definitely worth it. Got referrals for a CT and mri. Overall, I highly recommend this place.
It is interesting to have a world-class hospital AND ice hockey facility adjacent! This portion of the review is for the ice rink portion of the facility. Two pro-size rinks, with seating. Coffee and food shops. Best part: PITTSBURCH PENGUINS practice periodically at the facility. For no cost you get an up-close look at the team. Hint: No one practices harder than Sid! When practices are open, they are free to watch. A family member recently was seen by a doctor who works out of the medical-side of the complex. It was an excellent visit ... AND the doctor travels with the Penguins!!
Always have a great time here great staff and trainers. Awsome programs fun free skate. They have healthier choices for food. However my kids got chicken nuggets it took 20 min to get them amd they where not good no one ate them and it was expensive to eat. They do have nice charities raffles.
