★★★★★Larita HighWe had a lovely time here with our extended family. There was plenty to do to keep the children happy, ga ga ball pit, volleyball, and basketball. Books, and we brought bikes. We used the dining hall and kitchen and both were very spacious and clean. The staff were very helpful, and kind. We cooked a lot of food out of the kitchen and they had everything we needed. It was so nice to have a bathroom in each room, we so enjoyed our time here. Definitely recommend for a big family gathering. I'm talking like 75-85 people.

★★★★★Manda BlackwellIt's a WONDERFUL church children's camp.. Our church paid for my son son to go, which was great b/c I'm a single parent with a budget.. Different types of camps.. My son did the Night Owls camp.. Where they get to stay up late [11], they had fires at night, they did night swims in the lake.. Is the description it had said they would be sleeping in hammocks under the star's.. I was a little uneasy about that b\c this camp is in 1 of IL big state parks in the deep South of IL.. A lot of bad storm's rolled thru the month before & a lot of Southern IL was still flooded.. Well I was put at ease b/c the hammocks were used for resting during the days.. They actually stayed is a huge cabin with 4 rooms boy's on 1 side girls on the other side.. 10 bunk bed per room.. Each room had a camp counselors in the rooms.. 2 males 2 females counselors.. He had a blast and learned the word of GOD while doing it.. He wants to go back next year.. Check with your church and see if they offer this.. My church paid for it all, I just had to buy his camping gear.. If your thinking "oh my church is so small they won't do that!!" Well my church has 15 adult members & kid's at our church are like 4 or 5.. Most of our congregation are of elderly people.. I suggest finding out if your church partakes in this camp.. You do have to take your child/children down there & pick them up.. But it's worth seeing the happiness on your child/children's face..
