Unlike many other summer camp options, TVRC offers 50 year plus of traditions. Your children come back knowing how to backpack, camp and generally with an appreciation of being outdoors, making it something they do for the rest of their lives. The children start at age 11 or 12 and then advance through each summer until aging out. This is a major contributor to the uniqueness and greatness of TVRC. The continuity as your child returns each season to see many of the same campers and staff creates a positive, supportive, family atmosphere. Even the parents feel like a TVRC family by the end of your child's years at camp.
