Turning Pointe has not only allowed me to grow as a dancer but as an individual as well. I have been with Turning Pointe for about 4 years, but the connections I have made make me feel as though I've been a part of this community my whole life. You wouldn't find the kind of support that Turning Pointe gives, from both the teachers and students, in many other studios. The teachers are committed to helping every student be the best they can be. I know for a fact that I will take the lessons I've learned from Turning Pointe and carry them with me for years to come.

Little did we know when we signed up our then preschooler for dance lessons more than a decade ago that Turning Pointe would become a second home to her, and a few years later to her younger sister, or that the teachers and fellow dancers would become their second family. Thanks to the dance training our daughters receive in their own backyard, they have traveled with many other Turning Pointe dancers to cities across the country and outside the United States, performing, competing, winning awards and scholarships, all the while growing, learning, and having fun in the process. Laura Sciortino and her team teach at the highest level; they are role models for these blossoming artists and athletes. Especially this past year when our world changed and our kids lost so much, Laura did everything she could to keep them safe and dancing. We are so grateful to be a part of this community, and not at all surprised that Turning Pointe was named Outstanding School by the Youth America Grand Prix last year!

Turning Pointe Dance Studio is not only a dance studio where my girls have trained in multiple disciplines of dance, they have also experienced the true meaning of community, what it means to work together as a team and to push themselves to challenge their abilities. The perseverance, patience, athleticism, endurance, and commitment that my daughters have learned through this admirable institution and the skilled professional instructors, will serve them through the duration of their lives. It’s no surprise that so many entrust Laura and her staff to train their children. The studio is a welcoming place for all ages, including seasoned dancers or the most novice dancer. I can’t recommend Laura Sciortino and her professional school of classical and contemporary dance enough! I am proud to call Turning Pointe Dance Studio our home away from home.
