My son with mild autism and ADHD was in this program for two full school years and it wasn’t until the end of the second school year, around March 2024, where I started getting frequent calls that my son’s behavior was suddenly an issue. Prior to this, I did not receive calls at all about his behavior. So if there were issues, they were not known to me. Ultimately, they told me that they didn't feel they were equipped (anymore) to handle his disabilities, but the behaviors that they gave me that occurred were worthy of bringing to my attention but not severe or unexpected from a child with autism and adhd (and they were made well aware of his disabilities from the beginning). I have shared this with people who are educated in child development (I personally am educated in this area myself) and especially children with disabilities, and these peers of mine feel these behaviors do not equate to being severe enough to be written up and on the verge of being kicked out. Because my youngest child was starting kindergarten and is also on the spectrum with ADHD (and I would’ve needed her to ride the bus there with her older siblings instead of taking her preschool bus to a daycare in Schalmont school district) I had a feeling that this was going to be the year where they VERY quickly written up— both my kids— and kicked out because I believe that they are discriminating against my kids with disabilities. When I brought this to the attention of the man Tom (I have no clue if he’s the owner or what his title is but is above the woman who sits at the desk at the facility, Natasha— also don’t know her title) he dismissed me and failed to understand that I was only aware of behavior problems for three months out of two years. He claims that the staff worked “diligently for a very long time.” (with no evidence to support his assertion). Out of two years is three months a long time? Nobody worked diligently with my child and I think that they need to make it known that they are not equipped or able or willing to work with children that suffer from autism or ADHD. I shared this because I would hate to see another family with children with disabilities go through with what I have gone through. When Natasha informed me of my child write ups,I was kind and understanding! I told her that I was well aware that my child is not perfect, and I believed her that he must have misbehaved and asked her where we go from here and in desperate efforts, I gave them redirect strategies to try with him so that we wouldn’t have to lose his care. My seven year old daughter went there too and has no disabilities. According to her, she did NOT think the “teachers” were very nice (I say this loosely because I do not believe they have any education in childcare or child development— the new ones mostly) And she also told me that most of the times my son got in trouble he was playing quietly by himself. My daughter is anything but a liar and if anything a total snitch, especially on her brother. lol. Edit: I was going to show their unprofessional response to somebody and I see they deleted it so here it is: “Good people worked diligently and with tons of effort for several years to accommodate your child. A one star review is not going to change that fact, due to you being frustrated. Good luck with your future childcare pursuits. We strive to do our best by all children but parents have accountability too, and that's something you should take into consideration moving forward. We are confident your journey with your child from here will be perfect..” The sarcasm at the end there! 🤦🏼‍♀️

I came to tour the daycare facility for my youngest, and I ended up smack dab in the middle of their summer camp program. I can’t tell you how many kids came up to me and told me how happy they are here. It was really so touching. The daycare program is excellent as well and the tour I received was so thorough and thoughtful, if we didn’t live so far away in Saratoga, I would definitely be placing my child here without a doubt.
