TopShot is an indoor racquet-sports club in Cedar Park with 14 courts across 30,000 square feet, and it runs its own kids' camps. Summer camp is a full day, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., for ages 7 to 15, with campers rotating through badminton, pickleball and ping pong alongside mini tournaments, group challenges and team games. Sessions are sold by the single day ($75) or as a five-day week ($350); beginners are welcome, campers bring their own lunch, and early drop-off and late pickup are available for an extra fee. The club runs the same format as spring break and winter break camps.

We’re Silk Sutra from Houston, TX, and we hosted our Indian ethnic wear & accessories pop-up at TOPSHOT Austin — and it was a hit. The 2nd floor venue gave us two large rooms + a lobby, which was perfect for our displays, and for customers to browse comfortably. The TOPSHOT team was flexible and accommodating, and the venue’s energy turned shopping into a true experience. We had Tesla test drive event and Chowrasta restaurant live food stations. Thank you, TOPSHOT team! We’ll definitely be back. BONUS: While there for the pop-up, our customers and team got to try badminton and pickleball on site. We loved it. Houston needs an academy like this!

Now that we have Apex Cedar Park (a dedicated built facility with 16 courts built from he ground up specifically for pickleball), I would NOT recommend TopShot as their focus on purely badminton. *GO TO APEX PICKLEBALL CLUB WHICH IS ONLY 4 MILES AWAY!!* You are basically playing on a gym floor at TopShot which isn't ideal for pickleball. I went with friends recently in the evening (which I understand can be more crowded) for Open Play at TopShot and had to wait almost an hour for a court! Since there was such a long wait to play, when we kept asking the staff why they don't open up (convert) some of the court to pickleball; they told us that the owners specifically told them that the focus should stay on badminton & only 3 courts were allowed for pickleball. There was almost no wait to play badminton. Hence in the 3 hours were there, we hardly got 3 pickleball games in and there was constant pressure from the next group as soon as our time was nearing the end. The courts are literally jammed in next to one another at TopShot, versus actually having some spacing like at Apex. Lastly, if you want a space to sit/relax, TopShot has zero seating near their courts while Apex has plentiful. TopShot was fine when Cedar Park residents had no other pickleball options, but for the same price for Open Play, people should drive down the road and play at a proper pickleball place with no wait! Btw, I have no affiliation with either place, but that horrible experience at TopShot definitely showed me where their loyalties were. It's unfortunate that TopShot went this route otherwise they could have built a solid pickleball community; perhaps they tried to "milk" money out of the pickleball community while they knew people didn't have other options for indoor play.

★★Power Systems

Court surface is good for pickleball. But the overall set up is below par. For example for open play u really don't know who else will be available to play in advance or what the skill levels will be. All the other indoor pickleball courts have a website that shows specific timing and level that you can sign up and you would know who u r going to play with. The courts are adjacent to each other know cage barriers around courts similar to what you have at other indoor courts. It's really a hassle for competitive play. You also have badminton lines with the kitchen line shown with a black tape. This is not ideal but not a big issue for rec play. The most disturbing part was stories about people losing their stuff. Some people had been caught stealing from bags left on the benches and nothing seems to have been done to fix the issue. Suggestions for improvement: 1. Add decent height barriers and have dedicated pickle ball courts. Even if you lose one court to do this that's okay. It's better to have a few good courts than trying squeeze courts without enough spacing and barriers. 2. Add a simple website for people to sign up based on levels and ratings. 3. Add paddle stack to have an organized way to rotate players and court use during rush hours for open play. This is what you have everywhere else. 4. Address the theft issue by taking actions. Basically bab people who have been caught red handed thru surveillance videos.

The 1-week summer camp was great! My kids (age 10 and 12) got really good exercise in a well air-conditioned setting while learning new Pickle Ball and Badminton skills. Facilities were very clean, organized, well staffed, and lots of courts available. Restrooms are huge with lockers and showers. I was even able to get some work done upstairs in the viewing area when I came early to pick up the kids.

Great indoor facility for badminton, pickleball and table tennis. This place is perfect for players of all ages. I have noticed, not only men, young children and women having great time at the courts. I was told they are offering or offering soon, event hosting with spacious rooms for parties, or corporate gatherings. Amenities include gym and showers. Highly recommend!
