This was a wonderful enrichment program for my two homeschooled kids! They both attended from the age of 6 through the middle school program. Now that my oldest is successfully launched at college, I’ve been reflecting on our homeschool journey, and I can’t imagine having done it without Amy & Phoenix. They nurtured my kids (both of whom are neurodivergent) creatively and enthusiastically, and the community we made with other families at Three Dragons was an unexpected gift!

Outside of our home, Three Dragons Academy has become the place where my kid feels safest emotionally -- and from where she builds confidence to venture out to new experiences. This thoughtfully-designed and unique program has been life-changing for my gifted kid with ADHD. Learning is project and theme-based, the program's philosophy is child centered, the community is so lovely and kind, and the teachers are truly experienced, gentle, committed, open-minded, and creative. As a bonus, having the same teachers and lots of overlap in the cohort for several years is a great fit for my kid who thrives with consistency. We're in our second year and I continue to be thankful that we found our way to TDA.

Both of my kids attended TDA for years, and I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions we made for their education. TDA created an environment where they felt fully accepted for who they are, with all of their differences embraced as strengths. We have been long time members of the TDA community, first as parents of children enrolled in their school-day program (which literally saved our daughter) and now as the parents of teens who support the amazing staff for their summer programs. The skills and values our children learned from TDA have benefited them well into their tween and teen years: self-confidence, courage to try new things, speaking their voice, working with multi-age groups, kindness and empathy towards others. The TDA leadership team is incredibly knowledgeable about child development, education, and supporting kids. Plus they are fun and kids love being there.
