Roosevelt arrived in Medora in 1883 to hunt bison & elk, bought a cattle ranch, and lived in North Dakota Territory. TRMF has an outdoor theater that hosts The Medora Musical between Memorial Day & Labor Day that brings over 100k people to visit the town of Medora, and Theodore Roosevelt National Park

★★★★★Charles BennettMedora is a wonderful place. The town is clean and very pleasant to walk around. Of course there is lots of Teddy Roosevelt their but also The Marquis de Mores and cowboys. There are tons of things to do like shows and mini golf and a zipline and a wonder spot and shops shops shops. Medora is perfect for families. Medora is destination for fans like me but also a very good stop on the way to or from all points West or East. The best part though is it is literally at the gate of Theodore Roosevelt National Park, South Unit. There the wild like is abundant and diverse. They have Bighorn, Pronghorn, Buffalo, Prairie Dogs, Feral Horses, Elk, and Deer. On a good day you'll see them all. Medora is at the center of it all. When you go be sure to take in the Medora Musical and the Pitchfork Steak Fondue.
