The Zone Athletics Center is a 25,000-square-foot Evansville gymnastics, tumbling, trampoline and cheerleading gym that runs a summer day camp alongside its year-round classes and competitive teams. Camp days pair scheduled gymnastics and tumbling instruction with group games, crafts, movies, ninja courses, basketball, gaga ball and outdoor water games, and two snacks are provided daily. The 2026 camp runs May 26-June 26 and July 6-August 7 and is priced at $50 per day or $225 for a full week. Daily hours are not published on the camp page.

The culture of the gym is holistic; the coaches don't just prioritize developing gymnastics skills, they also want to prevent injury, support with sports psychology and develop healthy young people. There have been recent changes in their staffing, which in reference to some other recent reviews, has thankfully removed the coaches who contributed to a negative environment. I know there's been recent coach turnover, but I feel like they are really trying to cultivate a POSITIVE environment where kids can be successful on the mat and off the mat. As far as equipment, they have pits and different tensity of trampolines as well as rod and spring floors that make learning harder skills so much easier as they build the confidence that the kids can do these skills without spots. Cannot recommend it more.

My major complaint of lack of communication, was remedied last year with the addition of a new director of operations. Since her arrival, the gym seems to be thriving and my daughter has found her love of gymnastics again. Definitely give The Zone a try for rec and competitive gymnastics! It’s not the same gym it was a few years ago.
★Erin RussAfter many years in The Zone’s men’s gymnastics program, team parents were told on April 1 that the boys program would be ending June 1, 2026. It was heartbreaking, but we immediately came together as a community to find a way to keep our boys in the sport they love. We had a limited time and are still working to find a plan. Today, May 1, the owner of this gym, cancelled the program effective immediately, going back on his word and leaving families scrambling. No notice. No transition. Just gone. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. Our boys deserved better. So beware before joining a program here as this could happen to you too!
