My friend and I signed up for a painting and sip event to celebrate her birthday. She has never done anything like this before and the instructor was so patient and took time to explain everything. She let us have fun with it, even when it wasn’t going too well in the beginning! But it worked out with a lot of laughter and a little elbow grease, in the end, we both had a masterpiece to hang on the wall and memories we will share forever!

Attended the Spooky Strings concert by the Anthracite Philharmonic. It was my first time at the art center which was beautifully decorated. Plan to attend more upcoming events there.

Recently enjoyed the Wednesday class Brandied Cranberries and Vanilla sugar. It was a perfect date night. We learned a lot about Vanilla. Not only how it grows but it also has many cool folk lore stories behind it. Looking forward to our next time.

I was a second time visitor on Monday December 4 2017. This time I received a guided tour of the third floor. The arts center has some very creative artists for sure especially the studio photographers. I do landscape photography and I was very impressed by their works on display. The prices for the works I saw were very reasonable. My tour guide told me about the open Saturday each month where one can meet the artists in person. The Walk-In Art Center is a must see when passing through Schuylkill Haven in Schuylkill County Pennsylvania. UPDATE: Lowered the rating to three stars. On Saturday November 3, 2018 I attended the reception for the Keystone Fine Art Juried Exhibition. Some of the art work was displayed on the brick wall between the windows. In this area there is no lighting making it difficult to see mine and other artists work. I'm very disappointed and I will not participate in his show again.
