I really want to give this place 4 or 5 Stars. Simply because it's the only thing of its Kind in the whole Altoona Area but I can't! The Maintenance there is pathetic! The Men's Steam Room has been broke more than it has not in the last month and now today the whirlpool wasn't working either! Cleaning is lacking and unless someone starts putting a little TLC in this place the decline will continue!

Trainer Krista Shay is excellent. After more than a year off because of back surgery, she was just what I needed to get back in the gym. Knowledgeable, pay and encouraging. She took the time to understand my situation and walked me through exercises and routines that pushed me while keeping proper form to avoid injury She is tops in my book and HIGHLY recommended.

Summit is 💯 my peace and sanctuary away from my kitty cat/home. 🌊The aquatics therapy here is amazing with steamrooms, sauna, inhalation/red light therapy, gigantic jacuzzi and nice size pool. (they do have scheduled aquatic aerobic classes) ✅️Everything is well maintained and clean, the 🏋‍♀️ weight room 🏋‍♂️ is unbelievable which includes a 🛤track, plenty of 🫀cardio machines and also have fitness classes with a set schedule. Theres 🎾tennis, 🏀basketball and 🏸racquetball courts, ⚽️soccer fields, 🧉smoothie bar, 💆‍♂massage 💆‍♀️ therapy,💈hair salon and more. 💪This place is truly the greatest fitness center I've ever been part of. 👉 The entire staff is very warm, sweet and makes it a pleasure to be there. ♥️🙏♥️ I thank you guys for your existence and all you do! SPREAD LOVE! 🤲🌎☮️♥️ WE ALL MATTER!

I loved the summit ten years ago. Although it has never been clean, it’s been clean enough to stand it. Even though one time, I tossed a balled up paper towel and threw it under the bench in the inhalation room. Just to see if they thoroughly clean. It stayed there for four weeks! Any and ALL perks have been removed. Used to be able to put your membership on hold. Can’t anymore. Classes used to be included for members. Not anymore. They used give price cuts when a year was paid in full. Not anymore. They used to provide a simple bag for wet clothes. Not anymore. A member pays $490/yr. You used to be able to attend your child’s sports with that membership. Now, you’re to pay an additional $15/month to be able to attend sports in the bldg. An additional $180/yr to watch your child play a sport even after you’ve paid for them to play a sport. I will not be renewing my membership when it expires. This price gouge racketeer is ridiculous. Every single year that I have been a member, you lose perks while paying more. Thieves.

This club offers a very neighborly vibe, with everyone knowing one another. The location is convenient, in proximity to large convenient stores. There is much parking and the individuals at the front desk are helpful and polite. There are some snacks that can be purchased and one can even borrow a locker key. There are tennis and basketball courts, training areas and classes, including spinning, yoga, Zumba and kickboxing. The pool is very small, with three lanes that are regularly occupied. Good membership prices. My only complaint is that some classes do not stick to the schedule. Sometimes I will wait 15 minutes for class to start just to have to leave in the middle as it goes over time. I wish classes adhered to the schedule. This is the only reason why I will not renew my membership
