I attended this camp for many years while it was a Girl Scout Camp. I even worked here for a short time! Camp Kirkwold is now home to The Summer Camp, my daughter just attended her second year here! We both love this place, we also love the people we have come to know as friends that we’ve made here - cheers to another year at Camp!!! Thank You!!!!!

My daughter spent 2 weeks at this camp and I'm so disappointed by the things I heard. Counselors & staff were fist fighting, campers were constantly fighting each other with words with barely any consequences, and to top it all off my daughter says she and the other girls weren't able to shower daily. I don't know of the circumstances and I don't really care but this is absolutely disgusting. I was told that there were 3 showers and bathrooms were nasty and unkept. Some of the campers were on their menstrual cycle and weren't able to shower and I cannot believe that these were the rules, for whatever reason. I had to make my daughter shower immediately after getting home because she smelled. I asked her when was the last time she bathed she said either Sunday or Monday, they came back on Wednesday. Please please do not send your daughters to The Summer Camp. These things definitely outweighed the fun that they did have.
