The REC Complex is Fairview Heights' municipal recreation center and the base for Camp Kodiak, the city's summer day camp for children who have completed kindergarten through 6th grade. Campers spend Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at Moody Park and Tuesdays and Thursdays at The REC, where swimming and the Clip 'n Climb wall are part of the day, alongside crafts, games and a bus field trip every Wednesday. The camp day runs 9:00am-3:00pm, with extended care available from 7:00am to 6:00pm for an added fee; campers pack a lunch except on Fridays, when lunch is provided. Counselors complete two weeks of training and are certified in CPR/AED and first aid.

I have been a member of other gyms and never was interested or involved in the gym i wasted a lot of money on them but from day one joining the Rec center had a different feel for some reason I really love going to the center to workout and interact with ppl in the gym from members to workers everyone is so friendly that makes it worth being a member. I look forward going every day if I could. I'm going to be a member for a long time. Oh one more thing the Rec Center have a lot to offer believe me its worth every penny....
