The Old Frontier is a Christian youth camp and outdoor recreation center in Thomson serving teens across the CSRA since 2004. Programs feature fishing, gem mining, horseback riding, archery, and other outdoor activities paired with faith-based life-skills lessons. It runs day programs and is expanding toward overnight camps and a therapeutic riding facility. Run by a faith-based nonprofit.

★★★★★Rev. Stephen JimenezThe Old Frontier hosted the Will Smith Memorial Rodeo on this early fall evening. The weather was perfect to watch the group of athletes competing and performing. There were lots of families gathered and partaking in the food vendors and merchandisers as a country musician was performing a concert next to two monster trucks prior to the rodeo start. It was very patriotic and had a good opening Christian devotional with a prayer. It was a good, small town vibe with lots of smiles and laughs. You should check out The Old Frontier and also consider coming to the rodeo.
