I attended two Thursday make-up classes and found the experience disappointing. The environment did not feel welcoming, and my child did not receive the same level of patience or encouragement as other students. At times, he was denied equal turns by the male teacher, who seemed very rude during activities, which felt unfair. I highly recommend the institute to provide some training to the teenage teachers on child psychology. Boys and girls have different energies. They need to understand this. While I understand that energetic children can be challenging, it’s important for instructors to guide rather than judge. A more consistent and supportive approach would make a big difference in ensuring all children feel included and encouraged.

We attended a trial Pre-K gymnastics class (Funny Bugs) at The Little Gym - Milpitas, and came away with two main concerns: the class felt highly unstructured and there were supervision/check-in safety gaps. The instructors did not acknowledge families or verify registrations at the start, which was concerning since entry and exit didn’t seem monitored. Inside, there was very little direction or age-appropriate structure, with kids mostly running around and parents stepping in to help because staff seemed underprepared to manage typical 3–5 year old behavior. One child repeatedly left the class area without close supervision, which added to our concerns about oversight. Overall, the environment did not feel well-managed from a supervision standpoint, and we’ve decided to look for another program. Leaving this here in case it helps other parents make an informed choice.

I absolutely love The Little Gym of Milpitas! My daughter has been going here for a few months and I can already see how much more confident and active she’s become. The coaches are nice and patient, always making the kids feel encouraged.

The staff at The Little Gym are wonderful with kids. They remember all the kid names. They’re patient, encouraging, and consistently work to help the children feel comfortable and enjoy the activities. You can tell they genuinely care and want every child to have a positive experience. My child is in their grade school program and have learned to be more confident. She loves her instructors.

We’ve enrolled both of our kids at The Little Gym (one in the grade school program and one in pre-K) for the past three months. Their classes are back to back, so we spend quite a bit of time there each week. So far, it’s been a good experience—staff are respectful, and everyone seems kind and caring toward the kids. They give out stamps at the end of class which the kids are very excited about.
